Listowel native Dr Denis O'Sullivan will give a lecture based on his translation of The Natural History of Ireland by Philip O'Sullivan Beare. Originally written in Latin the book was written to refute the Topographia Hiberniae of Giraldus Cambrensis, which was very derogatory of Ireland and the Irish people.
