Course Theme

The course is intended for those who have always wanted to attempt short story writing and for those who have just begun. The objective is to expose participants to some good writing and to look at why these texts work. The emphasis will be on group participation; people will read their own written work and then the class will discuss it. Writing exercises will concentrate on three main areas of 'setting', 'character', and 'plot'.
