Ed Moloney is a former "Irish Journalist of the Year" who has spent two decades writing about the IRA, first as Northern Ireland Editor of the Irish Times and then as Northern Editor of the Sunday Tribune. He has also written for the Washington Post, The Economist, and The Guardian. His book, The Secret History of the IRA, tells the story of the IRA from its origins to the present, but concentrating on the time from the start of the troubles to the ceasefire and partial decommissioning of weapons in 2001. He is currently living and working in New York. |
